Jaylen Brown, the star player of the Boston Celtics, has agreed to sign the richest deal in NBA history.

Brown's agent, Jason Glushon, confirmed the deal with ESPN on Tuesday.

The extension will keep Jaylen Brown under contract with the Celtics through the 2028-29 season.

To be eligible for the supermax extension, Brown earned second-team All-NBA honors in the 2022-23 season.

Brown's deal surpasses Nikola Jokic's $276 million extension with the Denver Nuggets, reflecting the rise in the NBA's salary cap and league revenue.

Alongside teammate Jayson Tatum, Brown is part of one of the NBA's most productive duos, forming the core of the Celtics' championship-contending team.

Last season, Brown recorded career-best statistics with an average of 26.6 points and 49% shooting.

The deal is a five-year supermax extension worth up to $303.7 million, making him one of the highest-paid players in the league.

Despite his on-court success, Brown is also known for his off-court activities, such as being a businessman, fashion enthusiast, mentor, and philanthropist.

Last season, Brown recorded career-best statistics with an average of 26.6 points and 49% shooting.
